If you shop with a credit card, you likely get a tide of junk mail coming in to your house. According to Cleanair.org Americans receive more than 4 million tons of junk mail each year. That is roughly 70 lbs per household per year. Never mind the fact that the deluge of of junk mail probably makes you crazy. It wastes an enormous number of trees and a huge amount of water.
In the spirit of the recent National Do Not Call list, Green Dimes has started a petition to create a national do not mail list. If your profession is marketing, you already know that the average response rate to a direct mail campaign has gone down significantly in the last 15 years. The rise of the internet and email has in effect made direct mail campaigns an increasing gamble and an entirely unnecessary environmental insult.
If you would like to end your frustration and do something positive for the environment at the same time, visit http://www.greendimes.com.. For $15 you can get a kit that will allow you to stem the flood of unwanted junk mail.
Hi
The mail on this photo is NOT JUNK MAIL. IT IS SCAM MAIL!
Junk mail is a legitimate way of promoting goods or services.
It can be a nuisance and I agree it is in many cases a complete waste of paper.
Scam mail is something totally different, it is mail sent out by criminals and is designed to trick people into parting with cash and/or personal information.
Anyone responding to a scam letter has their name put on a suckers list and sold to criminals all over the world.
Resulting in the victim being delivered up to 100+ scam letters a day.

Scam mail is a serious and endemic problem throughout the developed world and those who are over trusting; socially isolated or suffering from declining mental health are most at risk.
These chronic victims are suffering the same fate all over the world
Speaking of eco-friendly power, my boy and I built a cost-free electricity power generator last month using these plans. It was really simple to put together, even though I’m hardly a mechanically inclined person. It is pretty awesome. We bring it hiking and utilize it to run our small appliances. As opposed to solar panel systems, this device appears to function rain or shine.
