The contributors to The Environmental Citizen come from many different backgrounds.  What they have in common is that they not only care about what is happening in the world but are taking responsibility for it.

Seamus Ford (Editor)
A native of Chicago and a life long lover of the outdoors he has spent 20 years working in the personal development field.  An enthusiastic advocate of people taking personal responsibility for life working, he created The Environmental Citizen as a place where personal responsibility, community and environmental stewardship can come together.  When he is not in his Chicago garden, you will likely find him on the wilderness land in Northern Ontario that he and his wife have been the stewards for since 2003.

Arvan Reese (The National Gadfly)
arvanA former member of the United States Army Special Forces, the Gadfly writes about the hypocrisy and abuse of power that perpetuates itself outside of the eye of mainstream media.  He is a Buddhist and loving father who cares about the kind of world he is leaving for his children.  You read more at www.thenationalgadfly.com

Jocelyn is currently the President of Promotional Product Solutions (PPS), a promotional products company focused on environmentally sustainable and socially responsible promotional products and services. PPS specializes in promoting corporate social responsibility initiatives with integrity.  Prior to forming PPS, she was a senior research analyst for the largest religious pension fund in the United States, the General Board of Pension of the United Methodist Church.  In that capacity, she worked with the fund’s Fortune 500 portfolio companies on such issues as climate change and board diversity.  She has a Master’s Degree from Garrett Theological Seminary with a concentration in economic ethics, liberation theology and globalization, and has published articles in academic and professional publications, including publication in an award-winning reference work, The Encyclopedia of Women and Religion in North America (Indiana University Press, 2006).
